Until not so long ago, I never thought about photography festivals. My absolute priority was to get all my assignments done on time and I wasn’t even aware of how many wonderful photography festivals exist.
I remember once I was shooting a reportage in Cambodia and I found myself in the middle of a great exhibition. Than another and another… Yes, I am blushing admitting that this is how I discovered the Angkor Photo Festival in Siam Rep!
Anyway, I looked for one of its creators and that’s how I met Christophe Loviny, whom I promptly interviewed.
Now I am keeping my eyes open for interesting festivals and I started listing them by date and application deadline. I will update this listing regularly (ok, a kind of…). Please help me find information to share with everyone who might be interested. It would be also great if you could post your feedback and share your experiences and tips about the festivals that you attended personally.
